Prominent English philosopher and sociologist (1820–1903). ALS, one page, 4.5 x 7, Atheneum Club letterhead, no date. Letter to Lyman Lynton. In full: “Shall you be at home between three & four on Tuesday? If so I will come at that time. I fear many ‘talks’ are scarcily practicable. ‘What would Mr. Grundy say?’” In fine condition, with some light edge toning.
